MyAnthem for Provider functionality moving exclusively to Availity®
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) has partnered with Availity to offer you a multi-payer portal that gives you and your users secure access with one sign-on to multiple payers' information. You can access Anthem Eligibility and Benefits, Claims Status, Clinical Messaging and Care Profile on Availity for free. Availity also offers access to ask a question about a claim via Secure Messaging and to submit your Imaging and SRx Precertification requests.
On the Availity website, you will have the same access to eligibility and benefits as you do on MyAnthem Online Provider Inquiry. This includes the Local, Out of Area, FEP, and National Accounts. You can also check claim status and receive more detail on Availity then you do on MyAnthem Online Provider Inquiry.
Due to Availity's ease of use, broad functionality and breadth of services, Anthem will transition many of their electronic tools to exclusive access via Availity. Therefore, they are targeting the end of 2011 to begin to shut down MyAnthem links to certain functionalities, including Eligibility & Benefits Inquiry and Claim Status Inquiry, and access to this information will be available exclusively through Availity. Currently, some value-added functions, such as Online Remits, are only available on MyAnthem; however, they plan to transition the functionality to Availity exclusively at some point.
