We're Changing Our Name!
As we mentioned in March of this year, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina1 has acquired CIGNA Government Services, LLC. While very little will change as a result of the acquisition, we are changing our name! Effective June 1, 2011, we will now be called CGSSM, LLC.
So what does this mean for you? You will still get the same great service you've come to expect from CGSSM. You will still submit your claims to CGS exactly as you do today. You will still use the same telephone numbers to speak to those same knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives that you've come to depend on for the latest Medicare information. You will still connect with our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) for automated services exactly the same way you always have. And our Provider Ourtreach and Education staff at CGSSM will still answer your questions at our webinars and in-person seminars. Everything you need from our industry leading web site remains the same. The only difference is that our website address will change to www.cgsmedicare.com.
Don't worry if you forget the new web site address, you will be redirected to the new address automatically if you forget.
All the same services, features, education addresses, telephone numbers, and claim submission processes remain exactly the same - only our name is changing.
Converting all of our communication will take some time so it is very important to open and respond to all communication you receive whether it is addressed from CGS or our former name of CIGNA Government Services.
Since inception of the Medicare program, CGSSM and our predecessor companies have provided you with exceptional quality and service. You have our commitment that we will continue to provide you with that same, high quality service in the years ahead.
